OWENSBORO -- Owensboro used a five-run fourth inning and a four-run fifth inning to bust open a close game and hand Fulton a 13-2 loss in seven innings in Ohio Valley League baseball Thursday.

The Railroaders could muster only four singles throughout the game. Drew Kirby started on the mound for Fulton and struck out six in three-plus innings while allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits. He walked two.

Bailey Falkenstein had three hits and drove in four runs for Owensboro, while Mathew Pigg earned the pitching win after allowing two runs (none earned) over six innings.

Fulton returns to action tonight as they host the Franklin Duelers at Lohaus Field at 7.
