Picked to finish fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference, Murray State football opened its 2019 fall camp this past week at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Preston Rice is expected to be the starter, and per fifth-year head coach Mitch Stewart, he's got the team "hook, line and sinker." Key position battles? Defensive line, wide receiver and cornerback, as the Racers possess multiple skill guys at each position. The trick will be for MSU to build on its 5-6 finish and 5-3 record in the OVC in 2018. Will they be able to replace the graduated talent of Drew Anderson, Kenney Wooten, Quincy Williams and Marquez Sanford? Time will tell.
