Murray State women's soccer sophomore Abby Jones has been named to the 2019 Academic All-District First Team, as announced by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academically, Jones carries a 4.00 cumulative GPA.

On the field, Jones has turned in a spectacular season, recording 22 points on six goals and an OVC-leading 10 assists. The Powell, Ohio, native set a Murray State single-game record with four assists in Murray State's 5-0 victory over SIUE on Sept. 22, while her 10 assists on the year have tied the Murray State single-season record that she set herself during her freshman campaign in 2018.

Honorees selected for the First Team Academic All-District® advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot which will be announced in early December.
