Hoptown tightened its grip on first place in the Ohio Valley League Western Division with a 5-3 win over Paducah at Brooks Stadium on Saturday night.
Cameron Hill doubled twice as part of a 3-for-4 night for the Hoppers (21-11). His double to right field in the top of the third inning scored two runs to make it 4-0 Hoptown. The Chiefs made it 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth on a bases-loaded single by John Michael Russ with one out. Hoptown got out of that inning with a pair of fielder's choices.
Lofton Pigg went 3-for-4 as the top hitter for Paducah. Brant Husser also had three hits for the Hoppers.

Madisonville 8, Fulton 1 -- With five runs over the first three innings, Madisonville built up a lead that visiting Fulton could not overcome at Elmer Kelley Stadium on Saturday night.
Cam Diaz and Ricky Sisto each belted two-run homers for Madisonville. Ryan Pierce held the Railroaders to two hits over the first six innings for the win.
Sam Gallimore had the biggest hit for Fulton when he led off the eighth with a triple.
Nathan Bynum then grounded out to bring Gallimore home with the lone Railroader run.
