John Michael Russ singled to center in the bottom of the eighth to score Drew Hudson with what proved to be the winning run for Paducah in a 7-6 victory over Franklin in Ohio Valley League baseball action from Sunday night. The Chiefs maintain a hall-game lead over Fulton in the Western Division with the win.

The Duelers struck first with four runs in the third, starting with a two-RBI single by James Marcinkowski. Paducah cut it to 4-3 after five innings as each team scored twice in the sixth. The Chiefs tied it on a bases-loaded wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh.

Pierce Mitchum wielded the big bat for Paducah; going 4-for-5 with an RBI. Marcinkowski was 2-for-2 on the night while Franklin teammate Trejen Bridwell drove in three runs with a walk in the third and a two-RBI double in the sixth.

Fulton 11, Muhlenberg Co. 10 -- At Fulton, Luke McKenzie homered twice in a 4-for-4 Sunday night for Fulton. The last one was a solo shot over the center field wall in the bottom of the 10th that was the walk-off winner against Muhlenberg County. The Railroaders kept pace with Paducah in the OVL Western Division with this come-from-behind triumph.

The Stallions led 10-3 going into the bottom of the seventh. The Railroaders picked up one run in the seventh but really poured it on with five runs in the eighth. McKenzie had a two-RBI single to center in that frame followed by a two-RBI double to center by Chance Foss. Sam Vomhof, who finished the night 3-for-4, sacrificed to left in the ninth to bring the tying run home.

Luke Kuester doubled twice for Muhlenberg, driving in three runs. Neither starting pitcher factored in the decision, but the Railroaders' Ryan Middleton struck out nine over five innings while Nick Ramanjulu fanned seven over six innings for the Stallions.
