Wayne "Nitro" Glisson age, 70, of Paducah, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes Hospital.

Wayne was a member of Broadway Church of Christ and a veteran of U.S. Army.

He was retired from TVA where he was a boilermaker welder. He enjoyed bowling, skating, golfing, remodeling and especially spending time with family and friends. Wayne was a member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lucrecia Solomon Glisson; three sons, Trevor Wayne Grantham, Jacksonville, Ill., Kyle (Karen) Douglas Grantham, Brookport, Ill., Scott "Booter" Thomas Glisson, Paducah; three sisters, Sue (Jimmy) Wallace, Jackson, Tenn, Betty (Harry) Matheny, Paducah, Patricia (Joe) Greenup, Ledbetter; three brothers, James O. (Barbara) Riley, Charles E. (Donna) Glisson, Roy A (Polly) Glisson; three grandchildren, Kathryn Paige (Samuel) Wallace, Lauren Nicole Grantham, Sydney Paige Glisson and stepgranddaughter Brianna Michelle Grantham; great-grandchild to come in January, 2020; several nieces and nephews; special companion dog (Hazel Delany Glisson).

Preceding in death were his parents, Thomas Bishop Glisson and Vera Fulcher Glisson; one sister, Ruby McGee; one brother, Jimmy Riley.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Andrew Clausen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
