W. Leon McGary, 91, of Paducah, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away at 9:20 a.m. July 8, 2019, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Mr. McGary was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran and he owned and operated his own business in Memphis, Tennessee before retiring back home in Paducah.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wanda Pendergrass McGary; aunt, Bertha Gardner of Hickory; three nephews, Kevin, Bruce, and Kent McGary; half-sister, Ruth Marler; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozetta McGary Gardner and Herchel McGary; stepfather, Horace Gardner; one brother, James McGary; two aunts, Reba Gardner and Onie Gardner; and half-brother, H. McGary.

A graveside service for Mr. McGary will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Dan Owen and Andy Clausen officiating.

The Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
