MAYFIELD -- Vicki Lee Swantek, 66, of Mayfield, and formerly of Ferndale, Michigan, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Baptist Health Paducah.
She is survived by two daughters, Dusty (Aaron) Jennings of Ledbetter and Tammy (Eric) Wilson of Dallas, Texas; a son, Michael (Amanda Shemwell) Swantek of Mayfield; seven grandchildren, Cheriden, Madison, Jeremiah, Zachary, Isaiah, Nathan, and Karlee; and a sister, Carol Ramage of Mayfield.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Swantek; her longtime partner, Raymond Beasley; her granddaughter, Adilynn; and her parents, Leon and Ann Hopkins.
Vicki enjoyed a simple life, spending time with her family and a good mystery novel. She loved being "Grandma" to her grandchildren and let them get away with too much. She was laid back with an easy, big, beautiful smile. She felt fortunate for the life she had; and while not an active church-member, she walked closely in her relationship with God.
Serving as active pallbearers will be: Aaron Jennings, Jerry Hinton, Nathan Lee, Brian Drew, and Derrick Galloway, at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield and the funeral service will follow starting at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Obion Cemetery in Wingo.
