Rosemary Crosier Hertter Allbritten


METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Rosemary Crosier Hertter Allbritten, 97, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 29, 1922 in Metropolis, Illinois.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Odell Allbritten officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Rosemary was a member of Metropolis Church of Christ and attended Lone Oak Church of Christ. We will greatly miss this kind and gracious lady. Family always came first.

She is survived by her son, George Henry "G.H." Hertter Jr. and wife Patricia; stepdaughter, Sue Kennedy and husband Paul; stepson, Odell Allbritten and wife Deirdre; grandchildren, George Hertter III, Kevin Hertter, Julie Petrillo and husband Brett, Shanda Graffice and husband Eric, Jason Kennedy and wife Anita, Kyle Allbritten and wife Crystal, Vance Allbritten and wife Cindy, Jared Allbritten, Aaron Allbritten; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Toliver Douglas and Ruth (Henley) Crosier; first husband, George Henry Hertter Sr.; second spouse, Olen Allbritten; sisters, Velma Wetherington and Ruth Helton; brothers, Troy, Blaine, Edwin, and Charles Crosier.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
