Nellie Mae Williams, 79, of Paducah, died at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was a short order cook working at various restaurants.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine Smith of Paducah; five sons, Robert James Brown of Lexington, Mississippi, Ned Brown and Claude Brown, both of Paducah, Bilbo Brown of Houston, Texas, and Willie Lee Brown of Detroit; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lula Brown of Paducah and Catherine Brown of Jackson, Mississippi; three brothers, Willie Williams of Durant, Mississippi, Wilbert Lee Williams of Chicago, and Wilbert Earl Williams of Duluth, Mississippi; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Schula Brown and Nell Williams Brown; and a sister.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Mark Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019, at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
