KUTTAWA -- Larry Thorning, 72, of Kuttawa, died Monday, August 12, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Thorning was a member of Abundant Life Worship Center in Calvert City, a United States Army veteran, and a retired telephone repairman/installer with Windstream.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Phelps Thorning of Kuttawa; one daughter, Jennifer O'Bryan of Kuttawa; three stepsons, Greg Egbert of Dallas, Georgia, James Egbert of St. Louis, Missouri, and Larry Brodgon of Madisonville; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon "Shorty" Thorning and Virginia Marie Ramage Thorning; and one sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, August 15, 2019, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019, at the funeral home, with Lynn McWherter and Ed Clement officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Smith Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes.
