BENTON -- Kenneth Spear "Goldie" Galloway, 91, of Benton, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at Obion County Nursing Home in Troy, Tennessee.
Born Friday, September 21, 1928, in Marshall County, he was the son of the late S. Euclie Galloway and the late Christeen (Downing) Galloway Mick.
He was retired from Elf Atochem Plant in Calvert City, formerly Pennwalt (Pennsalt Chemicals) plant in Calvert City. He honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton.
Surviving are son, David Kenneth Galloway, wife Roxanne of Newnan, Georgia; daughter, Kathy June Thorn of Troy, Tennessee; husband, Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn; grandchildren, Derrick Kenneth Galloway, Kristopher Michael Demyer, Kevin Patrick Demyer, Aaron Thomas Thorn, Zachary Thorn, Rob Leonard, Josh Leonard, Ashley Nicole Galloway; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patsy Ruth (McGregor) Galloway.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Joe Daryl Thorn and Mark Doom will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in the Marshall County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
