Jerry D. Garnett Brown, 79, of Paducah, died Sunday, September 8, 2019, at his home.
He was owner/operator of a trucking business. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Interlachen, Florida, and a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge No. 89 in Keystone Heights, Florida.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry D. Brown Jr. of Tennessee and Walter D. Brown of Lemont, Illinois; daughter, Joy J. Brown of Tennessee; stepson, Harland C. Lester of Smithland; brothers, W. D. Brown of Interlachen, Florida, Franklin D. Brown of Smithland and Charles H. Brown of Smithland; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Queen Brown; parents, James D. Brown and Melissie Jane Garnett Brown; daughter, Julia A. Lawson and brother, Floyd W. Brown.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson St., Paducah, KY. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Masonic Rites will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the funeral home.
