LA CENTER -- Jereme Ryan "Slam" Anselm, 41, died Saturday, July 6, 2019.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Carpenter's Local Union # 357.

Jereme had many passions in life: bowfishing, riding motorcycles, spending time with his dog Mr. White, and spending time with his many friends and would do anything he possibly could to help them out.

Jereme is survived by his mother and step-father, Patty and Mark Matuszewski of La Center; his grandparents, Bernard and Helen Anslem of La Center; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He had grown to love Cassie Walker "Texas Ranger" and her son Chapman with all his heart.

Jereme is proceeded in death by two cousins, Angie and Michael.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 pm with the Rev. Brian Overstreet officiating.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in La Center. Visitation at the church will begin at noon. Emanuel Udoh will officiate. Internment will follow service at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.
