Florence Catherine Davis, 93, of West Paducah, passed away at 9:03 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at her residence.

Florence was born in McCracken County on October 14, 1926, to Ed and Mamie McIntosh. She retired after 30 years as a school teacher, primarily at Jetton Junior High School. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Larry E. Davis (Janine) of West Paducah; her sisters, Flora Mae Clerkin of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jo Etta Stevenson of Calvert City; her brother, Wendell McIntosh (Connie) of Paducah; her grandsons, Ben White (Theresa) of Murray and Dustin White (Kyndra) of Paducah; her great-grandchildren, Xander White, Olivia White and Lucien White.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lois Edward Davis; her birth parents, Ed Burns McIntosh and Mamie Vivian Waldrop McIntosh; her adoptive parents, Okey and Grace Peters; and her brother, David McIntosh.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Chris Cody officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center, 1101 Jefferson St., Paducah, KY 42001.
