Eva Franklin Shrewsberry


Eva Franklin Shrewsberry, 90, of Paducah, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Stonecreek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was a native of North Carolina and attended Berea College where she received a Bachelor's Degree as a Dietician. She retired from Western Baptist Hospital with over 30 years of service, where she served as Clinical Dietician. Eva was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed bookkeeping, gardening and cooking as hobbies.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Reynard Conley Shrewsberry; one brother, Feltner Franklin of Chucky, Tenn.; three sons, Gary (Carol) Shrewsberry of Cortez, Colo., Steve (Diane) Shrewsberry of Paducah and Byron Shrewsberry of Pea Ridge, Ark.; three granddaughters, Stacey A. (Kenny) Blankenship of Paducah, Tessa L. (Randy) Whitledge, Murray, and Dawn Boatman of Paducah; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Blankenship, Justin Blankenship, Kailen Boatman and Jaeden Boatman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafoy Garfield Franklin and Bell Oakley Cutshall Franklin; one sister, Thursie Shelton; and two brothers, Leonard Franklin and Ed Franklin.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
