Elsie Mae Sutton Cathey, 92, of Paducah, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born the daughter of the late Bonnie B. King and the late Martha Avella Boyd Futrell. She was a former owner and operator of Sutton Grocery, in Paducah.

She was the owner of Pella Windows, in Paducah. She was a Shaklee distributor. She was also a member of Southland Baptist Temple.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, at Southland Baptist Temple with Pastor Jimmy Franks officiating. A private family burial will follow.

Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2019, from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her stepson, Steve Cathey, of Benton; her stepdaughter, Debbie Benes, of Las Vegas, Nevada; her brothers, Leamon "Buck" Futrell (Shirley), of Calvert City and William E. Futrell, of Paducah; her sister, Amanda Krone, of Paducah; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Cletus Sutton; her second husband, James N. Cathey; her sons, Cletus Lee "C.L." Sutton and Ricky Sutton; her daughter, Belinda Sutton-Ward; her brothers, Chester Futrell, William H. Futrell, Boyd Futrell, Carl Futrell, Thomas Futrell, William L. Futrell, Cecil Marion "George" Futrell, Hairm Futrell, Robert King, and James King; and her sisters, Alice Cavanaugh, Victoria Newman, Kay Stephenson, Martha Garland, and Dorothy Nall.
