Clovis Green


MAYFIELD -- Clovis Green, 96, of Mayfield, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield.

He was a member and former deacon of Northside Baptist Church, a retired employee of Union Carbide and a World War II United States Army veteran.

Mr. Green is survived by one daughter, Brenda Stephens, of Mayfield; one brother, James Green, of Avon, Indiana; and one granddaughter, Christy (Scott) Harris, of Mayfield.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Green; one sister, Georgia Givens; one brother, Ronnie Green; and his parents, Orban and Beulah Woodson Green.

Funeral services for Mr. Clovis Green will be at noon on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Rev. Al Chandler and Scott Harris will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 26.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the funeral home.
