KIRKSEY -- Charles E. Irvan, 81, of Kirksey and the Golo community, died Monday, July 8, 2019, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

Mr. Irvan was a tire technician with Marshall County Tire in Benton. He was also a member of Mount Olive Church of Christ in Golo, where he served as treasurer, song leader, deacon and was an active elder.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lucy S. Irvan; two sons, Dwayne Irvan and James Payne, both of Mayfield; two daughters, Tammy Irvan of Golo and Sharla Payne of Mayfield; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Irvan and Edith (Turner) Irvan; his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Jean (Nichols) Irvan; one son, Edward Irvan; and one brother.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home. John Sales will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in Golo.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
