Billy C. Brown, 84, of Paducah passed away at 1:43 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Marines.

He was a graduate of Bardwell High School in 1952, attended Paducah Junior College and received his BS degree from University of Tennessee at Martin, Masters Degree and 30 hours above from Murray State University. Bill's career in education included coaching, teaching, supervision and fourteen years as McCracken County School Superintendent. He enjoyed fishing, water fowl hunting, and spent a lot of time at his place on the lake. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and University of Kentucky Basketball. Bill's way of greeting many people was "Neighbor."

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Harriett Ward Brown; one son, Bruce (Jennifer) Brown of Lone Oak; one sister, Judith (Richard) Kruger of Metropolis, Illinois; one brother, Luke Allen Brown of Metropolis, Illinois; two grandchildren, Tyler Brown and Peyton Brown, several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ollie & Essie Allen Brown; one sister, Mary Lou Paschall; three brothers, Russell Brown, Keithley Brown and Bobby Brown.

Services will be held Monday, September 9, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Revs. Dean Emerson and Marty Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
