MARTIN, Tenn. -- Betty Sue Bondurant Sutton passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at the West Tennessee Volunteer Healthcare Hospital in Martin, Tennessee.

Mrs. Sutton was born in Fulton County on August 29, 1935, to the late Odell and Lillian Gregory and she was raised by the late Grace Parton.

She was a member of Union Church and had been employed for the former Hadley Adhesives and Bondurant Nursery.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her husband, Johnnie Sutton Jr., whom she married October 13, 2013; one son, Dan Edward (Rita) Bondurant of Mayfield; three stepdaughters, Marion Sutton of Martin, Tennessee, Eva Maria (Rod) Hutcheson of Bowling Green and Sandy (Shane) Whitlock of Fulgham; one stepson, Lt. Col. Johnny Raymond (Michelle) Sutton III of El Paso, Texas; 12 grandchildren, D.J. (Pam) Bondurant Jr. of Mayfield, Amanda Jo (Bret) Jackson of Fairview, Tennessee, Jonathan Bondurant of Fulton, Catlin Adams of Latham, Tennessee, Brandon Adams (Mikala) of Bunnlevel, North Carolina, Josh (Melinda) Hutcheson of Bowling Green, Nate Hutcheson of Bowling Green, Leslie (Justin) Cline of Bowling Green, Cody Whitlock of Bowling Green, Carly Whitlock of Fulgham, Caitlyn Sutton of San Antonio, Texas and Bryce Sutton of El Paso, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Clay Daniel Jackson of Fairview, Tennessee, Lilly Jo Jackson of Fairview, Tennessee, Bella Adams of Bunnlevel, North Carolina and Clara Ruth Cline of Bowling Green; and three half-brothers, Lawrence Gregory of Chester, Missouri, Charlie Gregory of St. Louis, Missouri and Jimmy Gregory of Glasgow.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sutton was also preceded in death by her first husband, Marshal Bondurant, March 7, 2006, and a stepson, Gerhard Loersch.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at our funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2019.
