KUTTAWA -- Bernice Chipman, 91, of Kuttawa, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Christian Care Center.

Bernice was a homemaker and member of Blue Spring Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Short of Gilbertsville; one son, Jimmie Chipman of Kuttawa; one sister, Betty Newman of Ripley, Tennessee; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. James Franklin Chipman; parents, Luther Sanders Sr. and Georgia Lou Smith Sanders; one sister; and one brother.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Lakeland Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Yates officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
