METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Anna Lowanda McCutcheon, 81, of Metropolis died Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Baptist Health Paducah.

She was a lifelong member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis, where she served in the Sisterhood Ministry, and was a licensed childcare provided for the state of Illinois.

She is survived by four children, Denise Holcomb of Liverpool, New York, Toni Keyes of Metropolis, Jason Goodman of Raytown, Missouri, and Lorenzo Goodman of Metropolis; a sister, Geraldine McCutcheon of Metropolis; a brother, Billy Joe McCutcheon of Paducah; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Brown Jr. and Gladys McGhee Brown; four brothers; and a sister.

Services will be at noon Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis. The Rev. Orlando McReynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church.
