Making room for new
Lannie Jones maneuvers his trackhoe to take down the late Pat Souders’ old laundromat at the foot of the Brookport Bridge on Tuesday afternoon. Donnie Smith, the new owner of the lot, decided a laundromat was needed, but not as big as the old one. He explained it would be more economical to build a new one than to remodel the old. The laundromat had served Brookport for many decades.
