A Marshall County man sustained a head injury after his pickup hydroplaned off of Interstate 69 Thursday afternoon in Graves County, the sheriff's office reported.
According to Graves County Deputy Sheriff John Cavin, Brandon Hood of Gilbertsville was headed north in his 2007 Ford Ranger near the 28 mile marker when his vehicle hydroplaned, left the roadway, drove through a grassy area and overturned multiple times.
The vehicle came to rest upright inside the Mayfield/Graves County Airport perimeter fence. Hood received a head injury and was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS.
Cavin said Hood was wearing a seat belt.
