The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported that U.S. 60 would be open in Livingston County this morning with signs warning of water over the road near mile marker 16 and the intersection of Ky. 137 and River Road, but may close later today.

Floodwaters are likely to extend over the eastbound lane at the site between Smithland and Burna by this afternoon. Traffic will likely be restricted to one lane with alternating flow at this site starting this morning. Based on the river forecast, it is likely U.S. 60 would close sometime later today.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Livingston County Emergency Management will be monitoring river levels and try to provide timely updates on the status of U.S. 60 at this location. Decisions on maintaining traffic flow will be based on river levels and maintaining an appropriate level of safety for travelers.
