McCracken County Sheriff's deputies responding to a call about a possibly intoxicated driver arrested a Paducah woman on drug and other charges Saturday.

Deputy Brent McDowell conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Ranger after receiving the complaint, according to the sheriff's department.

A search of the vehicle found Shelly Abanatha, 51, in possession of methamphetamine, which she attempted to hide, deputies said.

She also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Abanatha was charge with first-degree possession of methamphetamine, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence and the outstanding failure to appear charge.

Her passenger, Timothy Dhaillecourt, 53, of Paducah, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
