A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a traffic shift along the Hinkleville Road (U.S. 60) work zone near Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah starting Tuesday night.

Weather permitting, the contractor plans to shift traffic to the outside lanes along the Hinkleville Road work zone between Coleman and New Holt roads in Paducah to allow work along the median area. This traffic shift is expected to start Tuesday night and may continue into Wednesday night and possibly Thursday night until it is completed.

Moving traffic to the outside lanes will allow the contractor to start placing new median curbing along this section of Hinkleville Road.

This work zone extends along Hinkleville Road from Holt Road eastward through the mall shopping area, through the Interstate 24 interchange to near the Coleman Road intersection.

As part of the construction, Hinkleville Road and ramps at the I-24 interchange will be closed for several weeks this summer starting sometime after the Fourth of July.
