After drawing in 1,500 concertgoers in 2018, Paducah's Touchdowns and Tunes country music and football tailgating festival hopes to replicate and improve upon its success in 2019.
The festival is scheduled for Sept. 6-7 on the Paducah Riverfront. Headliners include Chase Rice, of "Ready, Set, Roll" fame, along with Mitchell Tenpenny, who sings the country radio hit "Drunk Me," and singer William Michael Morgan ("I Met A Girl").
"We are really pleased with being able to bring Chase Rice, William Michael Morgan and Mitchell Tenpenny as our headliners to TNT19," said festival founder Bryan Kent.
"They're just artists that you wouldn't normally see in Paducah and, you know, that's our goal. We always want to be sure that we're bringing acts to town that wouldn't normally be expected to come here."
Kent also looks forward to being able to highlight more local acts than before through its Battle of the Bands competition, including winner Sean Stemaly, as well as fan favorites like Runaway June. Other artists listed on the bill include Dillon Carmichael and Rachel Wammack.
