Three people, including a child, were injured in a wreck at the intersection of Roosevelt and Radio roads Monday afternoon, the Kentucky State Police said.
Trooper Jay Thomas said Walter Stalls, 70, was driving a Ford pickup north on Radio Road, when Tabitha Ibarra, 34, of Paris, Tennessee, drove her SUV into his path.
Ibarra had been driving east on Roosevelt Road, and had stopped at the intersection, Thomas said. Stalls' vehicle collided with the passenger's side of Ibarra's vehicle.
Ibarra and the child were taken to Murray Calloway County Hospital for treatment, and Thomas said both were wearing seat belts.
Stalls, who was not wearing a seat belt, was initially taken to the same hospital, but later airlifted to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his injuries.
The Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Murray Calloway County EMS and Calloway County Fire-Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
