Three people were arrested Sunday night in a McCracken County traffic stop.

Scott C. Bowling, 41, of Paducah is charged with careless driving and driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Jessica N. Bowling, 35, of Cromwell was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Melanie D. Farmer, 19, of Paducah was arrested on three active warrants. They were booked into McCracken County Jail.

Around 7:08 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Kenneth Baldwin said he stopped a 2002 black Kia sedan for a traffic violation at the intersection of Franklin Street and Alpha Drive. Upon investigation, Brown said he learned the driver, Scott Bowling, had a suspended driver's license.

The sheriff's department also reported a front seat passenger, identified as Farmer, was arrested on warrants and deputies found what was believed to be methamphetamine in Jessica Bowling's purse in the backseat, while they searched the vehicle.
