Tenn. man charged with making Ballard bomb threat

A Tennessee man was arrested and charged with making a bomb threat last month to a Ballard County bank.

The Ballard County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday that on July 22 its deputies responded to a bomb threat phoned in to First Community Bank in La Center. Bank personnel had evacuated the property before deputies arrived.

Deputies cleared the property and found no sign of any type of device. The investigation found that the call came from someone in Dresden, Tennessee. Deputies called the Dresden Police Department, who made contact with Robert Hubble, 40, who reportedly admitted to making the threat.

Hubble was later arrested and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening. He was placed in the Ballard County Jail on Aug. 12 on an $11,000 cash bond.
