Splash pad, restrooms opened

The splash pad and restrooms are open and running at the Pat & Jim Brockenborough Rotary Health Park at 421 N. 13th St. The splash pad has fencing, picnic benches and a water fountain. There are also sensors in the concrete that activate the water plumes when they are touched or stepped on. The sensors allow the city to save water when no one is there. The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the weather gets colder.
