A Fancy Farm man received minor injuries when the semitractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway and subsequently turned over on State Road 307 Wednesday night.

According to the Carlisle County Sheriff's Office, Elbert Courtney, 49, was driving north on the highway near Fancy Farm at approximately 5:30 p.m. when the semi's passenger side tires dropped off the edge of the road. When he attempted to get back on the road the vehicle began to spin, crossed over the southbound land, left the road and turned over on the passenger side.

Courtney was able get out of the vehicle after it traveled approximately 300 feet before coming to rest in a yard in the 9000 block of State Road 307. He was treated at the scene.
