Two Paducahans were arrested on drug-related charges Saturday in Ballard County.

Around 9:12 p.m., Ballard County Sheriff’s deputies observed two individuals pushing a 2003 Ford east on Paducah Road.

The female identified herself as Candice Overby, of Paducah, while the male gave a false name and was later identified as Peter Gonzales, also of Paducah.

Gonzales had two active warrants out of McCracken County.

After searching Gonzales, deputies located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine on his person, as well as a used syringe with suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Once at the jail, Overby stated she had nothing on her person, though a bag with five pills identified as Vyvanse was found after a search.

Both individuals were arrested and lodged in the Ballard County Jail.
