Paducah Parks & Recreation encourages the community to visit the Paducah Recreation Center for an open house on Friday, Jan. 10, from 5 until 6:30 p.m. The facility, located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the historic Fountain Avenue Neighborhood, offers a variety of classes and activities and membership options.

The open house will give current and prospective members a chance to learn more about the facility and its membership plans, meet with instructors and staff, and enjoy refreshments. Plus, there will be a chance to participate in a few of the activities offered.

A yearly membership costs $20 for either an individual or the entire family. Classes and activities included in the yearly membership include Open Gym, Walking Club, Basketball Open Gym, Youth Open Gym, and Volleyball Open Gym. For select classes, members will need to purchase additional $10 activity punch passes for 20 visits to classes including Booty Jam, Chair Yoga, Chair Chi Yoga, Mat Yoga, Mid-East Dance, Sculpt and Tone, SharQui, and Super Soul Fitness. Members can also attend a class once for just $1. Individuals can attend those activities without a membership by paying a $5 daily drop-in fee.

The Paducah Recreation Center also offers a gold membership for either an individual or family. Gold membership allows members to participate in an unlimited number of classes and activities held at the Recreation Center without any additional fees. The gold membership costs $60 and is active for 365 days.

For all family memberships, a family consists of parents/guardians and their children. All persons 18 years of age or older must purchase their own membership unless they are purchasing a family membership with their spouse. There is a $5 charge if you need to replace your membership key fob.

Monthly schedules are posted at the Paducah Recreation Center and on the Parks & Recreation website. Activities offered and times may change from month to month.
