Building upon the success of the Block Party held in June, Paducah Main Street is organizing another Block Party in downtown Paducah. The next Block Party will be from 4-9 p.m. Aug. 30 along the 200 block of Kentucky Avenue.

The Block Party will feature a variety of live music, art, games, sidewalk sales, and food and beverages -- including craft beer.

"To see our streets, shops and restaurants filled will people ..." Paducah Main Street Director Katie Axt said, "this is how downtown should be year round and what Paducah Main Street works to deliver in partnership with our local businesses, cultural institutions and community partners. We welcome everyone to come celebrate the start of the Labor Day weekend and the last days of summer downtown."

There is no admission fee to attend the block party. Kentucky Avenue will be closed between Second and Third streets. Public parking is available nearby in the parking lot located on Kentucky Avenue between Third and Fourth streets, and in the parking lot at Broadway and Second streets.
