The free gospel concert being held Friday with the Kentucky State NAACP Conference will be held at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church at 1915 N. 10th St., instead of at the Paducah Riverfront. According to local NAACP Chapter President J.W. Cleary, the change is because of forecasted weather. The concert will still begin at 6:30 p.m. and features God's Posse and Dean Jones & Company.

The speaker for the Freedom Fund Banquet will be Richmond Mayor Richard Blythe. The soul food dinner is $25 and starts at 5 p.m. Friday. The Saturday luncheon is $25 and begins at noon, and the Convention Banquet is $50 and starts at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. All events are at the Robert Cherry Civic Center and are open to the public.
