The Lakes of Paducah is under new ownership.

Louisville-based Arcadia Communities announced Friday that it has acquired the 42-unit assisted living facility and plans to operate the retirement community under the same name.

The two-story residence for active seniors was developed in 2015 and sits on farmland surrounded by lakes and woods.

"Our goal is to offer our residents a beautiful place to call home, but more importantly provide outstanding care, quality dining services and a diverse schedule of activities that support an active and independent lifestyle," Arcadia President Brian Durbin said in a news release.

Arcadia currently operates independent and assisted living communities in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. Its management team claims more than 40 years of experience operating senior living communities.
