The Friends of the McCracken County Public Library's fall/winter used book sale starts Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church gymnasium, 211 S. 21st St.

The book sale is open to the public from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. It will feature more than 20,000 books and audiovisual materials at affordable prices. Hardback books, trade edition paperbacks, DVDs and audiobooks sell for $1, while pocketbook paperbacks, some children's books and music CDs are 50 cents each. Special interest, collector books and audiovisual items are offered at below market prices.

It will include the church's sale of homemade pastries and other food items to support mission projects.

Book sale proceeds are donated to the library to support its programming and collection development. The Friends of the Library donated $15,000 from the summer 2019 book sale.

Anyone who wants to donate to book sales can drop off their donations in a box outside the library's Kentucky Avenue (parking lot) entrance. Friends of the Library membership forms are available at the book sale. The forms are also accessible at mclib.net/friends.
