Helping hands

Project Pomona and Heart USA, both local nonprofits, worked together Friday in the McCracken County Public Library parking lot to provide meals and fresh produce to community members who might not have access to goods like these. Project Pomona seeks to reduce food insecurity with fresh produce from its own orchard, along with other food donations. Heart USA provides free prescription assistance to those in need. The organizations, along with other partner groups, distribute food every other Friday in the library parking lot.
