Fredonia is bringing "Small Town Christmas" to the streets with its parade scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 6. Fredonia Valley Bank has been named this year's grand marshal.
"The Fredonia Valley Bank is a big supporter of activities going on in Fredonia," said Michelle Travis, chairman of the Fredonia Activities Committee. "Especially at the Community Fall Festival that we started this year. We plan on making it an annual event."
The bank celebrated its 125th year of service during the Community Fall Festival in October.
The Fredonia Planning Committee asks that parade entrants start lining up at 5:15 p.m. at the old Fredonia school parking lot and enter by City Hall. Anyone is welcome to participate in the parade. For more information, call Travis at 270-625-6936. "We ask that no one park in the First Baptist parking lot," Travis said. "If you are riding on a float in the parade, please park behind the old school. We need the school parking lot for participants of the parade."
Travis said people can follow the What's Happening in Fredonia, Kentucky Facebook page for any updates.
