A food company that sells its products in Kentucky and Indiana has voluntarily recalled hamburger and hot dog buns, as well as other bakery products.

Flowers Foods Inc. issued the recall due to "the potential presence of small pieces of hard plastic" that may have been introduced during production, according to a press release.

The company owns a variety of brands, such as Nature's Own, Wonder and Bunny Bread. The products being recalled were under a variety of brand names and were sold in 18 states. The company's products are sold at Walmart and Aldi, among other outlets.

No related injuries or illnesses have been reported, according to Flowers Foods.
