McCracken County sheriff's deputies arrested five people on drug charges in separate incidents Friday.
At about 10:40 a.m. Friday, deputies and drug detectives conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Dodge Ram for alleged traffic violations on Irvin Cobb Drive.
They reported that Martin Leyva-Garcia, 26, of Paducah, had been driving with a suspended license. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies allege that Garcia was in possession of both marijuana and methamphetamine.
During another investigation Friday, drug detectives executed a search warrant at 3712 Clark's River Road, Lot 42, after receiving complaints of illegal drug use and sales.
At about 1:10 p.m., detectives executed the search warrant and located Tori R. Bridges, 24; William C. Labonte, 23; and Johnathon R. Richardson, 47. Also inside the home was Labonte and Bridges' 3-year-old child, the sheriff's office reported.
During a search of Labonte, detectives said they found drug paraphernalia on him as well as a loaded handgun in his waistband. During a search of the residence, marijuana, methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia were seized, the sheriff's office reported.
Department of Child Protective Services was notified and the child along with another sibling was placed in the care of family members.
Detectives reported that another individual, Candace L. Kelly, 42, was living there and they believe was involved with illegal drug activities. However, Kelly was not present during the execution of the search warrant, but was located and arrested a short time later.
All of the individuals were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Jail.
