Traffic signals in downtown Paducah along Broadway at the intersections of 6th and 7th streets began flashing red Monday as the city plans to convert them to three-way stops.

The signals will remain flashing through March 2, 2020, providing the federally mandated 90-day period.

After the 90 days, all-way stop signs will be installed at the locations mirroring the change to the intersection at Broadway and 5th streets.

The decision to remove the signals was based on the results of a signal warrant study conducted in 2017. Questions should be directed to the Paducah Engineering-Public Works Department at 270-444-8511.
