Billy Don (Donnie) and Daralea (Franklin) Harper are joyfully celebrating their 50th golden wedding anniversary. They said "I Do" on November 28, 1969, at Lovelaceville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Wade Harrison officiating.
The wedding party consisted of Belinda Rue (Franklin) Page, Marilyn (Coughlin) Rogers, Dick Blackston, Jay Donald Byrd, Skip Yeomans, Kenneth Major Franklin, and Randy Powers. The bride's daddy, Rudy Franklin, walked Daralea down the aisle.
God has blessed the couple with two loving sons, Aaron (Amy) Charldon and a precious granddaughter, Elizabeth (Libby) Ward of Paducah; Jacob (Lindsay) of Bowling Green.
They have been blessed with brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends to love that make their memories brighter, peace to make their hearts lighter and joy to make their marriage so blessed. I Corinthians 13:13 'And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.'
You are invited to celebrate their 50th golden wedding anniversary from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019. It will be hosted by their sons, Daralea's mama, Elverine Stratton Franklin and all their beautiful and loving family at the Lovelaceville United Methodist Church annex. May God bless and keep you Amen!
