The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is accepting grant applications from area nonprofit organizations which provide services in the areas of community art, educational attainment, health awareness, children's program, social services and community improvement.

The foundation will accept applications until 4 p.m. Feb. 14. Each application will be reviewed for eligibility. The organization must be defined as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The grants committee, with the foundation's board approval, has sole discretion on the grant awards. All grant amounts will be for at least $1,000. Application does not guarantee the awarding of a grant in the competitive process.

Grant awards will be announced March 5 at the Philanthropy 360 event held at Market House Theatre.

Support material for the grant applications can mailed to: Community Foundation of West Kentucky, P.O. Box 7, Paducah, KY 42002. To apply, go to Philanthropy 360 website,
