The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 450/Oaks road in southeastern McCracken County starting at 8:30 a.m. Monday, immediately after the morning school bus run.

KY 450/Oaks Road will be closed to through traffic at mile point 1.69 to allow erosion control work at the ends to the West Fork Clarks River Bridge. This closure is just over a mile and a half north of the McCracken-Graves county line between Mayes Road and Shemwell Airport Road.

Weather permitting, the road will reopen Wednesday afternoon.

There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via KY 348/Hardmoney Road and KY 1954/Husbands Road.
