City commission approves a new planning director

Tammara Tracy, the city of Paducah's new planning director, addresses the city commission before she was unanimously approved for the position Tuesday night. Tracy most recently worked in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Department, and will officially start in Paducah on Aug. 17.

A planner from Indiana will soon take the reins of Paducah's planning department.

The Paducah City Commission unanimously voted during its Tuesday meeting to approve Tammara Tracy, most recently a division head at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Department, to take the position of city planner. She will replace Steve Ervin, who retired in March.
