Area artist appreciation

Dr. Steve Jones, Professor Emeritus of Murray State University, discusses Ellis Wilson, a Mayfield native and artist best known for his work during the Harlem Renaissance. Wilson was also a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship. Jones presented about Wilson on Saturday afternoon during the Mayfield chapter of the NAACP's African American Artists Show and Wine Tasting at the Ice House Art Gallery in Mayfield. The exhibit included work by Wilson and other African American artist from the area.
